It is finally (gratefully!) feeling like true summer! Schools here have a couple more weeks before official summer vacation, but you can totally feel the buzz of end-of-year excitement everywhere.
Here’s what has been on my radar this week:
ONE // Micro LL Bean Tote Bag
You know how much I love my Boat and Totes! I use them for everything from my daily handbag to my “diaper bag” for the boys to traveling bags. I have a bunch in every size for every occasion. Well… have you seen this micro bag?! With bag charms all the rage, this one is the perfect meta moment for your boat and tote. (And it’s functional?!) I got the keychain version just for fun!
TWO // Printing Error Ruffles the Mahjong World
I talked about how to get into American mahjong a little bit ago and one of the things I mentioned was how important it is to buy from the National Mah Jongg League so it’s an “official” card. The league had a printing error this year though and the fall out from it has been kind of crazy. Honestly, I didn’t find the errors that egregious, but I couldn’t stop reading the drama in the FB groups I’m in 👀
THREE // Carl Nassib’s Jersey Displayed at the Smithsonian
What an honor for Carl Nassib. He was the first openly gay active NFL player and the Smithsonian is displaying the jersey he wore after coming out. We are proud to call Carl a family friend and this is such a huge honor for him! His courage absolutely will make a difference in lives of young athletes 🙏🏻
FOUR // Carrot Salad
This viral carrot salad from TikTok looks delicious. Every video I’ve watched recreating it raves about how delicious it is, even if you don’t prefer carrots. I want to try to make it as a nice summer salad.
FIVE // Favorite Daughter Sweatshirts
The Favorite Daughter sweatshirt has quickly become one of my emotional support sweatshirts. I wear it a lot. (And people stop me on the street all the time to ask me where to buy it.) My SIL alerted me that they have a ton of different “favorite” sweatshirts now and they are brilliant and so cute! Some of my favorites (no pun intended 🤭): Favorite Bridesmaid, Favorite Aunt, Favorite Sister, and Sports Mom!
