DIARY No. 130

Happy last day of May! (Anyone else feel like this was the fastest month of all time?) Here’s what we’ve been up to the last four weeks (whoops skipped a couple!) according to my camera roll:

I wasn’t sure what my 30s were going to look like, but I didn’t have this look on my prediction list! Red light maskspa robehair towel… and elite combination in my opinion. I always let my hair dry a little bit before blow drying it and I spend the ten minutes of the red light session cleaning the upstairs, making all the beds, tidying, etc. I look insane, but it’s a quite productive 10 minutes.

The “Easter bunny” was supposed to bring Jack an umbrella, but it got delivered a little early and Jack saw it so mama was able to take the credit 😉 It’s been a huge hit, especially since it’s been so rainy.

A few of my girlfriends and I had a girls’ night going to the Wishbone Kitchen book signing. It was in the Short Hills mall and just so fun seeing everyone walking around with friends all dressed up. We went out to dinner at the new Eataly and, wow, it was a great night. Totally filled my cup!

I’ve been taking the boys to the library once a week or so. Rory is finally getting to the point where he’s able to “enjoy” the library. He loves finding books and sitting on the floor to flip through them.

In the summer, I like to have the option to let my hair air dry. (I never want to be afraid to ~get my hair wet~ when I’m playing with the boys!) I have been testing the Crown Affair mousse and it’s amazing. This was the first time I tried it and I’ve been experimenting with different methods… I think this is going to be a game changer for the summer.

Cheers to more summer afternoons outside playing baseball, or in Rory’s case, watching baseball.

Magnatiles have been a hit in our house for a while, but we’ve recently become even more in love with them. I am obsessed myself and Jack has been really loving them. What a great open-ended play item.

During a recent trip to NYC, I was in the same neighborhood as BonBon– the Swedish candy shop. It was my first time visiting in person! Loved selecting the various candies and making my own little bag.

I was completely drawn to Mrs. Meyer’s summer scents… I got the blueberry! And then had to go back the next day to get the tomato vine because my DMs were blowing up about how great it smells. I can confirm, it is delicious and smells so luxe. The perfect summer fragrance.

Playing with my new mahjong tiles (carly10 for 10% off!) and tortoiseshell racks (carly10 for 10% off!)! Obsessed with the combo. Loving my card folio (carly15 for 15 off!), too.

Made Wishbone Kitchen’s shake ‘n’ bake chicken from her cookbook for dinner the other night. It was delicious and easy to tweak for everyone in the family’s spice level preference. Will absolutely be adding this into the dinner rotation!!

I can so relate to the not wanting to not want to get your hair wet sentiment 😂 props to you for realizing this while your boys are so young!
