ON MY RADAR 4.25.25

Happy Friday! We’ve been having dinner outside almost every night and plan to be outside as much as possible this weekend. (Hopefully we have a little rain to wash away some of the pollen and feed our plants!) My big task for the weekend is that I would love to go to a garden center and get some flowers for our garden

Here’s what was on my radar this week:

ONE // Are We All Drowning in Debt?

I found this to be a really interesting read about debt and spending habits. It’s such a taboo subject, but I think it’s something important to talk about. And the earlier the better! Imagine if we lived in a world where you could be open and honest with friends that you couldn’t afford a destination wedding or bachelorette trip without going into debt for it… and the thing is? You wouldn’t be the only friend in the same boat!

TWO // Dream Bath Soak

Renovating the boys’ bathroom was one of the best decisions namely because the tub is incredible. Our old tub was so tiny (even our contractor was like, “wow they don’t even make this size anymore!”) and shallow and it was fine for kids, but it would leave adults feeling like a beached whale if you ever tried to take a bath. I love taking baths– especially after a long day. And I’ve collected quite the collection of bath products to enhance the experience. Salts, oils, pebbles. I love to mix it up! This bath soak is now one of my absolute favorites. It smells amazing (with lavender, chamomile, and geranium oils) and is the perfect choice for right before bed when you want to unwind because of the magnesium!

THREE // Picture Books for Blind Children

There’s a chance I already shared this (or a similar feature), but even still it’s worth sharing again. Children’s story books are so special and I love seeing how inclusive these are. The magic of the artwork are so clearly captured by these artists in a way that is authentic to the art and to the experience!

FOUR // Martha Stewart’s Maine Estate

This feature from 2017 (originally from a 2015 article!) popped up as a suggested read and I’m so glad it did! Maine is such a special place and a state I would love to visit more. (I do have a birthday trip planned for the end of the summer, which I’m very excited for!) Just love seeing peeks into her beautiful spaces.

FIVE // Agolde Shorts

I just repurchased a pair of Agolde shorts in a new size for the summer. I’ve loved the style and fit for a few years now and I’m tempted to invest in a third, lighter wash. They’re THE perfect summer jean shorts in my opinion. They wash well, hit at the right spot (not too long, not too short) and are just loose enough for comfort and style without looking sloppy.
